GrainLine Floor Refinishing began in 2007 with one sander, one truck, and a simple promise: do the job the way we would want it done in our own homes. Eighteen years and 2,400+ projects later, that promise still guides every board we lay.
Our story
Built on wood, grain by grain
Founder Daniel Reyes spent a decade sanding floors for a big-box contractor before he got tired of watching corners get skipped. He started GrainLine with a simple rule: no job leaves the truck until it would pass his grandmother’s inspection — she was a furniture finisher in Guadalajara who taught him that wood deserves patience.
Today the crew is a tight team of NWFA-certified technicians who sand, stain, repair, and install everything in-house. No subcontractors, no hand-offs — the people who measure your floor are the people who finish it.
And because we are a family business, our reputation lives on every street we work on. That is why more than half of our projects come from referrals.
